About Bible-Race

Bible-Race is a free browser game about knowing your way around Scripture. A host creates a room, shares a five-character code, and everyone plays together in real time. In People Chain, the first game, the host picks a starting figure and a target figure, and players race to connect one to the other through who knew who.

The game runs entirely in the browser. There are no accounts to make and nothing to install. Your player name lives on your own device, a room exists only while people are in it, and a round takes a couple of minutes, so it fits into a lesson, a youth group night or a family game after dinner.

Why it exists

Knowing how biblical figures relate to one another, who is descended from whom, who mentored whom, who confronted whom, is one of the best ways to actually learn the shape of the Bible's story. Turning that web of relationships into a race gives it the same pull as a good trivia night, without losing the substance.

Bible-Race synchronises the start, tracks every move, and shows the whole chain each player travelled on a results screen afterwards. The interesting part of a round is not just who won, but the different routes people found through the same people and the same relationships.

More games are coming

People Chain is the first of three planned games. Before or After? will race players to order dated Bible events, and Sketch & Scripture will turn Bible scenes into a drawing-and-guessing game. All three share the same rooms, so switching games is just a matter of the host picking a new one.
