About Bible Trivia Blitz

Bible Trivia Blitz is a quick multiple-choice quiz that covers the whole Bible. Everyone answers the same question at the same time, and each question has its own countdown.

The host picks the difficulty, the number of questions (5, 10, 15 or 20) and the seconds allowed for each question (10, 15, 20 or 30). That makes it easy to fit into a five-minute gap or stretch into a full quiz session.

Ages
Roughly Year 4 and up. Choose Easy and a 30-second timer for younger players.
Group size
Solo, or up to 30 players in a room. A whole class works if each student has a device.
Round length
From about 2 minutes for 5 questions to 8-10 minutes for 20, depending on the timer.

Tips for teachers and leaders

  • Use 5 questions as a settling activity at the start of a lesson, and 20 for a revision session before a test.
  • Younger players do best on Easy with the longest timer. Older groups can shorten the timer to make it more of a race.
  • Ties are broken by total answering time, so remind students that being quick as well as correct matters.
  • Play solo first to warm up. Each player's best solo score is saved on their own device, which gives them a personal target.

Ways to vary it

  • Team quiz: students play in teams of two or three on one device and agree on each answer.
  • Quiz and discuss: after the results, pick one question that most people missed and look it up together.
  • Beat your best: students replay solo to improve their personal best score.
